ONYX (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free anime streaming aggregator available at 5onyx.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We collect minimal data to operate the service:

• Standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) — retained for up to 7 days for security purposes.
• Anonymous usage counters (e.g. number of fallback events) stored in our cache — no personal identifiers attached.
• AniList OAuth tokens — only if you choose to link your AniList account. Stored as a secure HTTP-only cookie and never shared.

The following data is stored only in your browser’s localStorage and never sent to our servers:

• Watchlist — anime you have saved.
• Watch history — recently watched episodes.
• Preferred player / server selection.
• Theme and display preferences.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for 5onyx.com.

ONYX displays anime metadata from AniList (anilist.co) and streams video through third-party embed providers. When you watch a video, your browser connects directly to the embed provider — their privacy policies apply to that connection. We do not control or have access to data exchanged between your browser and those providers.

We use one session cookie if you log in with AniList OAuth. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics platforms.

We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties. Server logs may be shared with our hosting provider (Railway) as part of normal infrastructure operation.

ONYX is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

You may request deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. Since we collect minimal data and most preferences are stored locally in your browser, clearing your browser site data handles most cases.
